later on day6:)

well, i did the head twist, it was not as difficult as I thought it would be.

so i did that, and now i have startes to shape the head...

i will start to pre crease the tail part in 2 day...  the collapseing of that will go fast i think, just alot of rep.
and then i have my first RyuZin dragon,, i think it going to be awsome..

underneath aften the head twist

First step on shapeing

Day6, im done with the head part

okay, after a lot back and forth, I  finally managed  to collapse the head .. and I think I've done everything right, here you can see some of the process. it is not the finest performance, but this is also the first time I try head with shells ..

I was so upset yesterday when I went to bed, because I did not get the head right .. but when I got up today, I realized that I only needed 2 folds to complete the head .. and here it is

The legs

Head neck connection

the only thing I have not done is to shape the head plus the head twist.
I am very unsure of how to carry out the head twist .. There are so many layers of paper.
I've also spent so much time, that I should be absolutely sure before I start on it ..

now remains only the tail section, and it's going to be easy compared to the head section ....

it will only take alot of time to make all the creases...

Day5, making of the scales

so, here i have started on the scales. its a long way to go

Closer but some left,, i will soon do the head neck connection

Done:)

Here u can see the head neck connection. i used some time, but yeah, here it is:)

Back side

Tomorrow i will collapse the head and the rest of the body.. or maby i do it later..

Day4 the creases are done, and i have started to fold

now I'm finally finished with all the guide lines.

here are the pleats, in starting to make the scales

here comes the diamond shapes into play, from these you create 2 small pleat from one large

Like this.  You can see how much smaller the paper has been reduced to.

This is the length of the body, (from where the pleat start) (of the head part) it will not be less in length, but much smaller in width ..

it feels good to finally get going after so much pre creaseing..
i will do some more later today...

Day 3 Now, almost all of the creases are done

after 5 hours i almost done with all the creases.. i only have some scales creases left..

the diamond shapes.

almost all of the scales

tomorrow i will be done with the all creases. maby 1 more hour with work,  and  then i will start to collapse the shit:)

Day 2 the creases of the head are done!

After 2 H i think i have all the head creases in place...

ref point on head.. 12 lines in to the vertical line. is the center of the head .. you can see a mark there. from there its no problem

After some more

Tomorrow i will begin  on the painstaking work, which is to crease the shells and the diamond shapes... the scales are made from a 160 grid... so there is alot more folding befor i can start on the collapseing... maby 2 days..

Day 1 The Grid on one part is done

well, after 3 H the grid is done.   40 by 80.. im not sure what im going to do first. i need to sleep on it...
but i think it the head part...
here u can see 1 of the sheets:

                                                                              1/5 mark

10/10

40/80

tomorrow i will make all the creases, and maby i will start on the collapseing.

test fold of scales + tail

some time ago i made this test fold. i need some more work on the tail, but i got the basic folding process.

Crease Pattern Analysis of the ryuzin 2.1

well befor i start i need to understand the cp. so this is my breakdown...
The first thing i i needed to know/practice on was the collapse of the head..

I spent a few attempts but eventually I got it. this is not a clean fold, but i know how to make it..
see this link:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/eyerocksorigami/5418529464/in/photostream

the next thing was the head/neck connection:

Here u can see a big photo of it..

I did some attempts on this and i found out that the head i up side down when u are done with the folding, so i needed to do a head neck twist to make it right..

one more thing im not sure on is this part:

Im going to use the half cp method, like i sayd yesterday.. if you fold it from a square, you must still connect the shells at the middle. so why not make it from 2 rectangles. and just connect the scales whyen u are done... its the same thing, but much easyer..

so i divided the cp in 2, like this:

making one haed part and one tail part...

i think in going to start with the head part, since that the most diffecult part..

so im going to upload photos of my process here every day..

the first thing im going to to now is to make the grid on my head part, 80 by 40.. i think thats all im going to do today..  if my neck dosent hurt to much when im done, maby i will crease the creases to.. i will see:)

ryuzin 2.1

today when i was in the city i found me some good large paper.. i think it some type of kraft 28mg or 30mg. its the perfect paper for folding the ruyzin2.1.  im going to use the half cp method. using 2 strips of 75 by 150 cm, and when im done i just connect the scales...  i will upload some pic of the process as i move on.. some photos a day...

the cp

the grid for this is 80.

so i divide in 5, then 10,  20, 40 and 80.

i tryed to make on a few weeks ago, but i use a to small sheet. aorung 90 cm, so the Divisions was only 1 cm, and the scales wae 0,5.. to small for my first attempt.. this time is twise that big, so the scales are around 1 cm, and the body will be around 2cm wide.

i have done some practis folds of the head, the head twist, the scales, but not the legs.. i know how to collapse the legs from the cp, but im going to give it some tryes on shaping before i start on the dragon..

i think this is one of the coolest estern dragons in the world...  eh, no it is the coolest estern dragon in the world.

i will be back with my process...

Loggerhead Sea Turtle By kamiya

Today im going to fold myself the loggerhead sea turtle.. i have some new cool paper that im going to use... i think it will be awsome... i will upload a vid and pics of the folding process when im done....  wish me good luck...
